On May 22 and 23, 2025, GEOWORLD took place in Nordhausen for the first time — and was an immediate success. As host of this established trade fair for drilling, well, and geotechnical engineering, we welcomed over 300 industry visitors and more than 20 exhibitors on our own company premises.
Two days were dedicated entirely to innovation, technology, and exchange. Leading manufacturers and service providers presented new products and solutions for geotechnical and drilling engineering. The trade fair concept impressed with its practical focus, open dialogue formats, and a close-knit, focused atmosphere.
First time in Eastern Germany — a location with signal effect
With the move from Essen to Nordhausen, GEOWORLD was repositioned not only geographically but also symbolically. The choice of an Eastern German location was deliberate — a clear statement in support of the region's industrial expertise, know-how, and future potential. The response was unambiguous: the East can host a trade fair. And it draws a crowd.
30 Years of KURTH Bohrtechnik — an anniversary with an industry gathering
An additional occasion was the 30th anniversary of Dipl.-Ing. Lutz Kurth Bohr- und Brunnenausrüstungen GmbH. On the evening of the first trade fair day, this milestone was celebrated with guests, partners, and long-time companions — in a relaxed atmosphere and with great appreciation for our shared history.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible
A big thank you to all exhibitors, guests, and partners — for their trust, commitment, and participation. Special thanks go to Carl Hamm Geotechnik for initiating GEOWORLD in Essen, to Hotel Kalkhütte for the professional catering, and to Kevin Neon for the outstanding entertainment program.
Photos and videos to follow — feedback welcome

In summary: GEOWORLD 2025 was more than a trade fair — it was a strong signal for the industry, for Nordhausen as a location, and for personal connection in an increasingly digitized world. Planning for the next edition is already underway.
