The MBL23/12 UXO is a multi-purpose drilling mast specifically developed for UXO detection. It's designed for use in confined spaces and enables drilling with continuous flight augers without the need for manual rod handling.
The MBL23/12 UXO focuses on operator safety, efficiency, and flexibility in use — particularly on inner-city job sites and in sensitive areas. For general geotechnical or geological drilling applications, we recommend using an LBL lightweight drilling mast or MBL multi-purpose drilling mast instead.

How It Works
The drilling mast is brought to the job site on a transport trailer and taken over there directly by the carrier machine — typically an excavator from 15 t upward. After unloading, the operating setup is prepared: the mast is mounted on the excavator arm and connected to the carrier's hydraulics via the adapter.
Already in transport position, the mast extensions allow a drill string of up to 15 m to be pre-installed. During the actual drilling process, the power head continuously drives the pre-assembled continuous flight auger into the ground — eliminating the constant setup between individual drilling operations that would otherwise be required with conventional drilling masts, particularly for series drilling. Once the survey is complete, the augers are unscrewed again in reverse order.
The power head can be used not only vertically but also at an angle — allowing you to reach drilling points that aren't located directly above the unit, such as underneath obstacles or in the direction of the carrier machine.
